A Few of My Favorite Things: September's List

So much fun to step out of my comfort zone for 10 days while I wore this tattoo. A little visual reminder, keeping me grounded in the present.
 2. Roses
A totally unexpected gift. They lasted longer than any other roses I've ever bought or been given...just shy of two weeks. I enjoyed their company in the kitchen so very much.
3. Red & Green Apples by Liza
These beginning drawings that actually look like what she wants them to thrill me! She tried to give this one away to Nana, but I couldn't let them go. (Don't worry, Nana agreed to a trade, and she went home with another apple drawing.) I just can't part with these. They are destined for a frame.
4. Home Remedy: Apple Cider Vinegar
Early in the month I had a sore throat. I followed this recipe, taking a tablespoon every hour for 12 hours. Cured! Seriously. Both Liza and Lee came down with the same cold later that day and spent more than a week getting over it. Last week I woke up with sinus pressure. I mixed 2 T into 16oz of water and drank it first thing that morning. After lunch I mixed 2 tsp with 8oz of water, drank it and repeated once more before bed. (It's not the most delicious beverage, but if it means staying well, I can do it! Also, a teaspoon of honey makes it more palatable.) My symptoms lessened throughout the day and have been nonexistent since.
