Endings & Beginnings

The day began dark and stormy.

As dark as daylight could be, really.

There was rumbly thunder and heavy rain.

She is not a fan of thunder,

and kept calling out, "Mommy, come keep me company!"

I changed back into my stay at home clothes.

She made us a picnic, and we rode bikes in the basement.

The sun peeked out around lunch time.

By dinner it was bright, hot, and steamy outside.

While I filled the tub, she drew this picture of Lee.

A first.

We've never seen her draw a person before.

We love it.

So does she.

Tomorrow. 

Another first.

This one's a life changer.

She starts school.

I'm not going to say,

"How did we get here?"

or

"Time has gone by so fast!"

Because, that's not how I feel.

Still,

All of a sudden.

Life is different.

I'm excited for her.

For me.

For us.

I'm looking forward to watching her write her story.

She knows how to do adventure.
