For the past two years I've participated in Week in the Life. It begins again tomorrow and until this morning, I wasn't planning on participating. It's a huge undertaking to document 7 days in a row...all the little details...in words and pictures. But I kept thinking about how much I love those two photo books from 2010 and 2011. They tell so much of our family's story, how much we've changed and what has stayed the same. This chapter of our lives is coming to a close, and well, I just can't skip 2012. I'm planning a scaled down version compared to the previous two years. Three pictures from each day this week...maybe some words, maybe not. I hope you enjoy this peek into the 2012 story of us.
Morning
Liza wakes up happy most mornings. She's pretty patient, playing quietly with her Ent until I come to get her out of bed. Lately she's been creating elaborate blanket seats for Ent to sit in and excitedly anticipates my arrival to ooh and ahh over them.
Noon
My antique citrus reamer belonged to my great grandmother. I love the colored glass and the simple, yet ingenious, design. I have vivid memories of Ma's kitchen, and it makes me happy to have one of her tools working hard and looking pretty in my own.
Night
Lots of dishes passed through the sink and into the drainboard today as I prepared a meal for a friend with a newborn. I'm thankful my favorite dish washer was home to help.
