WITL 2012 - Wednesday

Morning
My feet on the yoga mat, amazing what a difference a good night's sleep and some physical activity do for my day. There wasn't much difference in what was expected of me as a mama today as opposed to yesterday, but the amount of self-care I chose to give myself today surely made it much more pleasant for both of us.
Noon
Planning a meal for a family with a new baby and paying bills with her playing by my side. She was patient and chattered on about her dolly needing to sleep so could I please be quiet, and how she'd changed her name from Liza to Arianna, and also that orange was no longer her favorite color...today it was pink.
Night
These are my favorite kinds of shots to see on other people's blogs. I love the ordinary details of everyday life, and perhaps I'm a bit nosey. (I also have a thing for listening in on conversations in restaurants.) I've been struck recently with a little nostalgia for this place. It won't be our home much longer. Liza keeps saying, "But I will miss this house." To which I reply, "We've got lots of pictures to help us remember it." I suppose that's what I'm trying to capture this week...the little bits that make this place home, saving these memories before we move on to creating new ones.

You will miss this house for sure. When Allen's Mom died, Heather made a book of pictures of each room inside the house for good memories of the home he grew up in. Also, YOU'RE COMING BACK EAST!!!! HOORAY!

Omg, sleep and exercise!! I don't know how I let them escape me so many days and nights when I know it helps me so much!! (Yet both girls are currently napping and I'm on the computer!:)

I may not miss much about Yuma the city, but we still have such a love for our house in Yuma- or more accurately, for the great moments (even if only out of the simple day to day things:) we created and experienced within that home. I savor looking and studying photos of our home there!

And oh, I can't help myself in restaurants either! :)

I love this little glimpse into your everyday. I am like you, a chronic eavesdropper and always peering in windows as we drive by at night.

My little one was a mess of agony when we moved, she was four, couldn't bear to leave everything she'd known, but she's been fine.
