I may kick myself for this as I move further through the alphabet, but I've got the first three covered and not much else to say tonight, so I'm going with it :)
Angels...My godmother has given me an angel or two every year for Christmas since I was born. Others have added to my collection over time as well. Unfortunately the whole box went missing two moves ago. I had a few packed in other places and added a couple last Christmas. It'll take me awhile, but I'm beginning again.
Books...I alluded to this tradition last week. An Advent calendar of sorts, I wrap 24 Christmas/winter picture books in holiday paper. Beginning on December 1st, Liza gets to open one each evening for her bedtime story. This year I phased out a few that weren't huge hits last year and added The Jolly Christmas Postman, The Nutcracker, and Christmas in Noisy Village.
Cookies...Four Christmases ago when I was pregnant with Liza, I saw this recipe in Martha Stewart's Christmas issue. I wanted those cookies, but I did not have the energy to put forth that kind of effort. I went looking for something similar and found these. Lee fell in love with me all over again over these dark chocolate peppermint cookies. I've made them every year since (and will again this weekend). It just wouldn't be Christmas without them now.
