Christmas G-I

Grandparents...For this one magical year, we are living close to both sets of grandparents. I am not unaware of how special this is for Liza. She went to church with Grandpa & Nana this morning. Mimi and Grandaddy will be here for the week beginning on Wednesday. (I've already been told that she'd like them to take her to school on Friday. "Not you, Mama.") On Christmas day she'll have all four of them here. Magical, I tell you.

House lights...It's amazing what a few white twinkly lights will do for the outside of a house. Even with the modest amount Lee put up, it's quite a time-consuming undertaking. When I walk down the stairs, though, I love to see them shining through the front window. And how much fun is it to drive down the street and enjoy everyone else's hard work and holiday style?!

Irish Creme...Mmmm...Lee brought home five miniatures for me last weekend, a mix of Kahlua and Bailey's. I love them over ice and even more poured over Breyer's vanilla ice cream. If there's a cocktail on a bar's list made from either, you can be sure that's the one I'm choosing. Yum!

Helping decorate for Christmas are my most consistent good memories of childhood.
